Art house founding and managing in the Czech Republic after the year 1998

The Bachelor thesis analyzes current conditions for founding and managing art houses in the Czech Republic. At the same time, it questions the position of the cinema Aero being the leader. And it is focused on professionals participating in the film industry chain. The theoretical part is based on specialised literature and other available documents. The author deals with cinema classification and historical connections. The role of the cinema in the film industry chain is described as well as public financing of art houses. The practical part was elaborated through interviews with subjects involved in the cinema industry from public and non-public sector. These are compared, associated and supported by the analysis of the members of Asociace provozovatelů kin (The Union of Cinema Managers) and other provided information.Bakalářská práce analyzuje současné předpoklady pro vznik a provoz artových kin na území České republiky. Současně se zabývá vzorovou pozicí kina Aero a dalšími aktéry na poli filmového řetězce. Teoretická část vychází z odborné literatury a dostupných dokumentů. Věnuje se druhovému členění kin a jejich historickým souvislostem. Dále popisuje zařazení kina ve filmovém průmyslu a veřejné financování artových kin v České republice. Praktická část práce je vystavěna na kvalitativních rozhovorech se zainteresovanými aktéry ze státní i nestátní sféry. Jejich výpovědi jsou komparovány, sdružovány do souvislostí a doplněny analýzou členů Asociace provozovatelů kin a jiných poskytnutých údajů
