Economic relations between Kazakhstan and Russia

The bachelor thesis deals with economic relations between Kazakhstan and Russia. The main objective is to map the specifics of the economies of Russia and Kazakhstan and their mutual economic relations. In this thesis I would like to confirm or disprove the hypothesis that the Russian Federation is an important partner of Kazakhstan. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first is focused on the economic development of the states after the collapse of the USSR. It also contains information about the specialization of their economies, the political situation, and an overview of membership in international organizations. The next part deals with international trade in goods and services and analysis of foreign direct investment. The third chapter examines the activities of Russian companies Lukoil and Gazprom in the Kazakh market.Bakalářská práce se zabývá hospodářskými vztahy mezi Kazachstánem a Ruskem. Hlavním cílem je zmapování specifik ekonomik Ruska a Kazachstánu a jejich vzájemných hospodářských vztahů. V této práci bych chtěla potvrdit či vyvrátit hypotézu, že Ruská federace je významným partnerem Kazachstánu. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních kapitol. První z nich je zaměřena na ekonomický vývoj států po rozpadu SSSR. Obsahuje také informaci o specializaci jejich ekonomik, poltické situaci a přehled členství v mezinárodních organizacích. Další část se věnuje mezinárodnímu obchodu se zbožím a službami a analýze přímých zahraničních investic. Třetí kapitola zkoumá působení ruských společností Lukoil a Gazprom na kazašském trhu
