Current problems of freight forwarding services in the international road freight transport

The thesis deals with the current problems of freight forwarding services in the international road freight transport. It describes the forwarding, freight forwarding contract, the main and side activities of the freight forwarders corresponding to their wide range of services and describes freight forwarding associations. It also explains the responsibility of the forwarders and the choice of the forwarder. Based on the first part of the qualitative research and the chosen method of structured interviews with the representatives of leading forwarding companies, the thesis classifies and discovers the problems of forwarding services which are on the front burner. These identified problems are further analyzed in the second part of the qualitative research using questionnaire survey. Respondents are freight forwarders operating in international road freight transport. The thesis brings the opinions of the forwarders to the problems they face in their activities.Diplomová práce se věnuje aktuálním problémům zasílatelských služeb, a to v mezinárodní silniční nákladní přepravě. Popisuje zasílatelství, zasílatelskou smlouvu, hlavní i vedlejší činnosti zasílatelů odpovídající jejich široké nabídce služeb a seznamu-je se zasílatelskými sdruženími. Dále vysvětluje odpovědnost zasílatelů a volbu zasílatele. Na základě první části kvalitativního výzkumu a zvolené metody strukturovaných rozhovorů se zástupci předních zasílatelských firem diplomová práce klasifikuje a poukazuje na problémy zasílatelských služeb, které jsou v současnosti aktuální. Tyto zjištěné problémy jsou dále analyzovány v druhé části kvalitativního výzkumu pomocí dotazníkového šetření, a to v souboru respondentů tvořeného zasílateli působícími v mezinárodní silniční nákladní přepravě. Diplomová práce přináší názory samotných zasílatelů na problémy, se kterými se při své činnosti potýkají
