Delegation as a Method of Employee Development

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of a delegation, more specifically with the application of the delegation in the development of employees’ skills and competencies. The purpose of this work was to explore the way of the level of managers’ use of the delegation as the conscious tool to develop their subordinates. The other objective was to compare the process of delegation from different perspectives of superiors and subordinate workers and to identify the possible barriers of the effective delegation. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part deals with a theory of a peoples’ management, it recapitulates briefly the theory of situational leadership based on the levels of competencies and it studies the delegation issue in detail. The second chapter is a methodical part, which describes the procedures used in the practical part. The third part of the bachelor thesis is a practical part, which contains of the research as such and interprets the information obtained. The final part is devoted to the summary of the findings and the recommendations that might follow.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem delegování, konkrétněji pak využitím delegování pro rozvoj kompetencí zaměstnanců. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat, do jaké míry je delegování využíváno manažery, jako vědomý nástroj rozvoje jejich podřízených. Dále pak bylo cílem proces delegování porovnat z různých úhlů pohledu nadřízených a podřízených a identifikovat případné překážky efektivního delegování. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část se zabývá teorií řízení lidí, shrnuje stručně teorii situačního vedení podle úrovní kompetence a detailněji se pak zabývá samotnou problematikou delegování. Druhá část je metodologická a popisuje výzkumné postupy použité v praktické části. Třetí částí bakalářské práce je část praktická, která obsahuje samotný výzkum a interpretuje informace v něm získané. Závěr práce je věnován shrnutí získaných poznatků a z něho plynoucích doporučení
