This bachelor thesis is dealing with the U.S. withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal) and the economic and security consequences of the withdrawal and the threat of the U.S. secondary sanctions for the EU and Iran. The EU and Iran together with other signatories remain in full compliance with the obligations and continue in the cooperation. In the theoretical part, the thesis is focused on sanctions, international institutions and international cooperation, namely in the scope of neoliberalism and constructivism.
