The life insurance development in Czech Republic

This master thesis deals with the development of life insurance on the Czech insurance market in order to facilitate the reader's orientation in the life insurance problematics. The introduction of the thesis describes the historical development of insurance in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on its significance and the basic portfolio of insurance products. It is followed by an analysis of capital life insurance, including a case study. Another part is investment life insurance and description of its advantages. The fourth thematic block includes life insurance products distribution by a third party and impacts of the legislation. The last chapter is devoted to the development of the insurance market in the Czech Republic over the past 10 years with an emphasis on the factors that have affected it. The work concludes with an evaluation of the life insurance progression, when the author concluded that the most important insurance market is mainly influenced by legislative interventions and regulation.Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem životního pojištění na českém pojistném trhu s cílem usnadnit čtenáři orientovat se v problematice životního pojištění. V úvodu je představen historický vývoj pojišťovnictví na českém území s akcentem na jeho významnost a základním členění pojistných produktů. Navazuje rozbor kapitálového životního pojištění obsahující také případovou studii. Další částí je pojednání o investičním životním pojištění a determinace jeho předností. Čtvrtý tematický blok obsahuje zprostředkování produktů životního pojištění a dopady legislativních opatření. Poslední kapitola je věnována vývoji pojistného trhu v České republice za posledních 10 let s akcentem na faktory, které jej ovlivňují. Práci uzavírá zhodnocení vývoje, na jehož základě autor dospěl k závěru, že nejvýrazněji pojistný trh ovlivňují legislativní zásahy a regulace
