This diploma thesis focuses on the theme of Rašín’s monetary reform in Czechoslovakia in the period 1918–1925. Its main goal is to asses, whether the monetary reform led to the creation of independent, stable and trusted currency. The theoretical part is devoted to the historical context and the economic and monetary situation in 1918 in Czechoslovakia and comparison of monetary reform concepts. Second part analysis the process of monetary reform, focuses on monetary separation, deflation policy, restrictive measures and others. It further analysis the impacts on the creation of own currency, economic and monetary indicators.
