New Aspects of Motor Third Party Liability Insurance

This bachelor thesis focuses on autonomous vehicles and their potential impact on motor third party liability insurance in Czech Republic. The topic of autonomous vehicles has been vigorously discussed in recent times, as their potential market launch would have a major impact on a number of different subjects including insurance. The first two chapters deal with the history and the contemporary form of motor third party liability insurance.The conclusive chapter analyses development of autonomous vehicles from a legislative, technological and philosophical standpoint and tries to foreshadow possible changes in motor third party liability insurance that would occur as a result of integration of autonomous vehicles into regular traffic.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou autonomních vozidel a jejich potenciálními dopady na pojištění odpovědnosti z provozu vozidla v České republice, známé také pod názvem povinné ručení. Rozvoj autonomních vozidel je v poslední době velmi diskutovaným tématem a jejich uvedení na trh by mělo vliv na mnoho odvětví, včetně pojišťovnictví. První dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány historii a současné podobě povinného ručení. V závěrečné kapitole je analyzován vývoj autonomních vozidel z legislativního, technologického i filozofického pohledu a jsou nastíněny změny povinného ručení, které by nastaly v důsledku pronikání autonomních vozidel do běžného provozu
