Generation Y on the Labour Market

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out what are the specifics and preferences of Generation Y in the workplace, to summarize important findings and to propose specific recommendations for employers, HR departments, etc., concerning cooperation with Generation Y in the workplace. Firstly, the theoretical starting points defining the labour market, generations on the current labour market and Generation Y on the labour market are presented. The next part of the diploma thesis describes the methodology used in the research. A quantitative research method, specifically a questionnaire survey, was used to obtain the data. Next part of the diploma thesis describes the research itself, the analysis and interpretation of the acquired data are presented in this part. At the end of the diploma thesis the results of the research are summarized and the recommendations for managerial practice in the field of human resources are presented.Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jaká jsou specifika a preference Generace Y v pracovní oblasti, provést sumarizaci důležitých poznatků a navrhnout konkrétní doporučení pro zaměstnavatele, HR oddělení aj., týkající se spolupráce s Generací Y v pracovním prostředí. V práci jsou nejprve uvedena teoretická východiska vymezující trh práce, generace na současném trhu práce a Generaci Y na trhu práce. Další část představuje metodiku, která byla použita v rámci výzkumu. Pro získání dat byla použita kvantitativní výzkumná metoda, konkrétně dotazníkové šetření. Poté se práce věnuje samotnému výzkumu, respektive analýze a interpretaci získaných dat. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty výstupy výzkumné sondy a předložena doporučení pro manažerskou praxi v oblasti lidských zdrojů
