Utilization of the potential of industrial buildings for the realization of cultural events

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of conversion and subsequent economic exploitation of the potential of industrial buildings for cultural purposes.The theoretical part deals with the development of industrial cultural heritage in our country, as well as with the problems of industrial brownfields and their conversion. It is mentioned the support of their regeneration and its financing also with regard to foreign experience.The practical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the young project „MeetFactory“ as an interesting example of the conversion of the former glassworks into an object serving now as an independent multifunctional cultural center. However, in the thesis there are used lessons learned from other projects involving the conversion of industrial buildings into cultural centers.One of the outputs of the practical part of the thesis is the identification of the key facts that need to be taken into account when organizing events in the original industrial objects. On the basis of the information obtained through semi-structured interviews and self-observation, there are formulated some recommendations for the successful realization of cultural events in the industrial objects as well as suggestions for ensuring the effective utilization of the potential of the converted building as a complex.Bakalářská práce je věnována tématu konverze a následného ekonomického využití potenciálu industriálních staveb ke kulturním účelům. Teoretická část pojednává o vývoji industriálního kulturního dědictví u nás, jakož i problematice průmyslových brownfields a jejich konverzi. Zmiňována je podpora jejich regenerace a její financování i s ohledem na zahraniční zkušenosti. Praktická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena zejména na mladý projekt MeetFactory jako zajímavý příklad konverze bývalé sklárny na objekt sloužící nyní jako nezávislé multifunkční kulturní centrum. Využity jsou však i poznatky z dalších projektů konverzí industriálních budov na kulturní centra.Jedním z výstupů praktické části práce je identifikace klíčových skutečností, kterým je potřeba věnovat pozornost při pořádání akcí v původně industriálních prostorech. Na základě získaných informací pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a vlastního pozorování jsou formulována doporučení pro úspěšnou realizaci kulturní akce v prostředí industriální stavby, jakož i návrhy zajištění efektivního využití potenciálu konvertovaného objektu jako celku
