UX Design of NGO mobile application

The aim of the thesis is to provide an overview of User Experience Design practice and to create a prototype of mobile application using the selected UXD methods. The application is intended to improve the experience of field workers of the humanitarian organization Člověk v tísni. The thesis is focused on the organization’s activities during floods, which consist of visiting damaged households and investigating property damage.The theoretical part is focused on the definition of User Experience, User Experience Design, along with the introduction of disciplines that fall under User Experience Design umbrella in general. The task of the theoretical part is to describe the phases of the UXD process and to present the methods that can be used at each phase. Selected methods are then applied in the practical part of the work.Practical part of this thesis focuses on building the prototype of mobile application based on an insight gained during analysis and research phase. The aim of the application is to offer solutions to an inefficient collection of household damage data. Outputs from the research are processed in the analytical part in the form of User Stories, which represent the foundation for the development of the prototype design. At the end of the practical part, possible extensions of the application features are suggested.Cílem práce je shrnout základní poznatky oblasti z User Experience Designu a vytvořit prototyp mobilní aplikace za pomoci vybraných metod, které se v této oblasti používají. Aplikace má sloužit k zeefektivnění práce terénních pracovníků humanitární organizace Člověk v tísni, kteří během povodní navštěvují poškozené domácnosti a zjišťují škody na majetku. Teoretická práce je zaměřena na definici pojmů User Experience, User Experience Design, společně s představením disciplín, které pod User Experience Design spadají. Úkolem teoretické části je popsat jednotlivé fáze UXD procesu a zároveň představit metody, které lze v jednotlivých fázích použít. Vybrané metody jsou následně použity pro zpracování případové studie.V rámci praktické části je na základě analýzy a výzkumu vytvořen prototyp mobilní aplikace, který odpovídá potřebám terénních pracovníků a nabízí řešení neefektivního sběru dat o škodách na domácnostech. Pro účely výzkumu je použita metoda rozhovoru se zainteresovanou osobou, dotazníkové šetření a hloubkový rozhovor s terénním pracovníkem. Výstupy z výzkumu jsou v analytické části zpracovány do podoby User Stories, které jsou podkladem pro vypracování návrhu prototypu. V závěru praktické části je poskytnut návrh na další možné rozšíření prototypu aplikace
