Financial and strategic analysis of FOKUS optik a. s.

The thesis is focused on financial and strategic analysis of a company Fokus optik a. s. in the period from the start of 2012 to the end of 2016. The thesis is divided into two parts. First part outlines the methodology of the financial instruments and the theory of financial and strategic analysis. In further detail it is focused on horizontal and vertical analysis, analysis of financial ratios, creditworthy and bankruptcy models and external and internal strategic analysis. Second part is practical. The company Fokus optik a. s. is introduced and formerly defined procedures of financial analysis are applied to its statements. The analysis of financial ratios also includes intercompany comparison. Appropriate conclusions are drawn from the results of the analysis. The strategic analysis focuses on the analysis of the surroundings of the company which includes competitors. Furthermore, it discusses internal resources of the company. SWOT analysis is also included. The conclusion contains summarization of results and overall review of the company Fokus optik a. s.Tato diplomová práce se zabývá finanční a strategickou analýzou společnosti Fokus optik a. s. v období od začátku roku 2012 do konce roku 2016. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první části je popsána metodika, teorie a nástroje finanční a strategické analýzy. Detailněji je zaměřena na rozbor horizontální a vertikální analýzy, poměrových ukazatelů, bonitních a bankrotních modelů, na externí a interní strategickou analýzu. Druhá část je praktická. Nejprve je představena společnost Fokus optik a. s. a definované postupy finanční analýzy jsou aplikovány na její firemní výkazy. V rámci poměrové analýzy je provedeno mezipodnikové srovnání. Z výsledků analýz a ukazatelů jsou vyvozeny patřičné závěry, které jsou slovně popsány nebo ilustrovány v tabulkách a grafech. Dále je provedena analýza makrookolí a mikrookolí, analýza zdrojů a schopností a SWOT analýza. V závěru je obsaženo shrnutí výsledků a celkové zhodnocení podnikání společnosti Fokus optik a. s
