Issuance and trades with short-term bonds

This bachelor thesis deals with issuance and trades with short-term government bonds. The first part of the thesis deals with Czech treasury bills, their issue, primary and secondary sales. The second part describes Czech National Bank’s bills, their role on the financial market and the development in the selected period. The third part is dedicated to the German treasury discount papers, their issue, differences, and matching with the Czech treasury bills. The last part deals with the principles of valuation of treasury bills and observes the development of the discount yield and investment yield for the selected securities.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá emisí a obchody s krátkodobými státními dluhopisy. První část této práce se věnuje státním pokladničním poukázkám, jejich emisi, primárnímu a sekundárnímu prodeji. Ve druhé části jsou popsané poukázky České národní banky, jejich role na finančním trhu a vývoj ve vybraném období. Třetí část je věnovaná německým Bubills, jejich emisi, rozdílům a shodám s pokladničními poukázkami. Poslední část se zabývá principy ohodnocení pokladničních poukázek a pozoruje vývoj diskontního výnosu a investičního výnosu u vybraných cenných papírů
