Nowaday museums of art are not only buildings for preservation of valuable artwork. Today art museums have become real living organisms that actively live and communicate with the public. And one of the modern, effective and cheap ways to communicate is, of course, communication on social networks. This paper will prove that the world is changing, and such atypical areas as museums of art and social networks are inseparably interconnected. As the mean of the survey two types of research had been used: the online questionnaire and the analysis of museum profiles and community members' on various social networking sites.
