This diploma thesis deals with the concept of advertisement and its use for products in the category of detergents. The subject of this thesis is the identification of detergents in that category, the SWOT analysis of selected brands of detergents, the comparison of advertisements of selected brands of detergents, and author's own research with a purpose of determining the perception of the advertisement of detergents. To obtain the results, both theoretical knowledge and a standard quantitative research with the use of questionnaire were used. The conclusion of the work summarizes the evaluation and interpretation.
