Mothers’ opportunities when returning from maternity and parental leave and their integration into the labour market

The Master Thesis deals with the issue of the return of women from maternity and parental leave. This Thesis is divided into two main parts – theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with legal regulation of maternity and parental leave with an emphasis on the situation in the Czech Republic. The Master Thesis includes also comparisons with other EU states, monetary allowance and paternity leave. The second chapter focuses on the harmonization of private and professional life and childcare. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the possibilities available to women in education during maternity and parental leave. The aim of the practical part was to find out if there are sufficient numbers of flexible (part-time) jobs on the market that would allow women to return to the labour market more easily.Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou návratu žen z mateřské a rodičovské dovolené. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí – teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje právní úpravě mateřské a rodičovské dovolené s důrazem na situaci v České republice. Obsahuje také srovnání s ostatními státy EU, peněžité příspěvky a otcovskou dovolenou. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na harmonizaci soukromého a profesního života a služby péče o dítě. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnovaná možnostem, které jsou ženám dostupné v oblasti dalšího vzdělávání během mateřské a rodičovské dovolené. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit, zda je na trhu dostatečný počet flexibilních pracovních úvazků, které by ženám umožnily jednodušší návrat na trh práce
