Analysis of functioning of Destination Management

The goal of this diploma thesis is a comparative analysis of the functioning of the Central Bohemia destination management and theoretical principles. Based on the study of specialised domestic and foreign literature the theoretical part of the thesis describes the functioning of destination management and marketing. In the practical part of the thesis the chosen tourist region and destination management company situated in this region are introduced. Based on the collection of primary and secondary data activity of destination management Center of Tourism of Eastern Moravia is analyzed and compared with the theoretical principles derived in the first part of the thesis. The results of the analysis show the differences between theory and practice therefore recommendations for destination management of East Moravia are suggested.Cílem této diplomové práce je provést komparativní analýzu fungování destinačního managementu Východní Morava a teoretických principů. Teoretická část práce popisuje na základě studia odborné tuzemské i zahraniční literatury teoretická vý-chodiska fungování destinačního managementu a marketingu. Praktická část práce představuje zvolený turistický region a v něm působící destinační společnost. Na základě sběru primárních a sekundárních dat analyzuje činnost destinačního managementu Centrály cestovního ruchu Východní Moravy a komparuje jej s teoretickými principy z první části práce. Výsledky analýzy ukazují rozdílnosti mezi teorií a praxí, na jejich základě jsou navrhnuta doporučení pro destinační management Východní Moravy
