Analysis of the Kashmir Territorial Dispute and the Perspective of Its Resolution

Bakalářská práce analyzuje dlouholetý konflikt mezi Indií a Pákistánem vedený o státy Džammú a Kašmír, který vypukl v roce 1947 po získání nezávislosti Indie na Britském impériu. Doposud dva hlavní aktéři nenalezli společné východisko, přičemž s rostoucí jadernou hrozbou konflikt nabývá stále více na významu. Práce blíže specifikuje hlavní příčiny konfliktu, charakterizuje aktéry a předmět sporu. V poslední části se autorka zaměřuje na možnosti řešení konfliktu.This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan about the states of Jammu and Kashmir. The conflict broke out in 1947 after India gained independence on the British Empire. So far the two principal parties have not reached mutual solution. With the rise of nuclear threat, the issue is gaining more importance. This thesis investigates the main causes of the conflict and further characterises the two actors and the bone of contention. In the last part of the thesis, the author focuses on the possible resolution of the conflict
