Tools of Czech Foreign Policy in Terms of Public Diplomacy- Case Study of Danish-Czech Club in Copehagen

Hlavním tématem práce je veřejná diplomacie. Představuje její aktéry a nástroje, které využívá. Jsou zde vysvětleny související pojmy jako kulturní diplomacie, nation branding, či soft power a hard power. Součástí práce je kapitola, která představuje vztah České republiky ke svým krajanům v zahraničí a je uveden i koncept českého Ministerstva zahraničních věcí. Obsahem praktické části je analýza Dánsko-českého spolku v Kodani jako nástroje české veřejné diplomacie. SWOT analýza rozebírá jeho silné a slabé stránky, stejně jako hrozby a příležitosti. Součástí práce jsou také doporučení, která by vedla ke zvýšení aktivity spolku.The main topic of the thesis is public diplomacy. It introduces its actors and tools it uses. Linked terms are explained such as cultural diplomacy, nation branding, soft power or hard power. The thesis contains also a chapter that introduces the relationship between Czech republic and its compatriots. The concept of the Czech Ministery of Foreign Affairs is also mentioned. The practical part of the thesis constitutes of the analysis of the Danish-Czech Club in Copenhagen as a tool of Czech public diplomacy. The SWOT analysis assesses the strenghts and weaknesses of the club as well as the threats and opportunities. Recomendations that could help the Club to be more active are also a part of the thesis
