Thermal spa companies: the efficiency of management and current trends

This bachelor thesis deals in the first part with thermal spas and current spa trends, as spas are one of the permanently expanding sectors in the tourism industry. The aim is to determine the productivity of spa companies and the occurrence of current modern spa trends. In the second part of this thesis is a financial analysis, which is used for evaluating the effectiveness of management of three examined spa companies, namely the company Lázně Teplice v Čechách a.s., which owns Spa Teplice, company Thermal - F a.s., which owns the spa hotel Thermal in Karlovy Vary and company Bohemia - lázně a.s., which provides spa treatments in Karlovy Vary.Tato bakalářská práce se v první části zabývá termálním lázeňstvím a současnými lázeňskými trendy, jelikož je lázeňství jedním z neustále se rozvíjejících odvětví cestovního ruchu. Cílem je zjistit výkonnost lázeňských podniků a výskyt současných moderních trendů v oblasti lázeňství. Ve druhé části této práce je zpracována finanční analýza, pomocí které je zhodnocena efektivita hospodaření tří zkoumaných lázeňských společností, a sice společnosti Lázně Teplice v Čechách a.s., která vlastní Lázně Teplice, společnosti Thermal -- F a.s., která je majitelem lázeňského hotelu Thermal v Karlových Varech a společnosti Bohemia -- lázně a.s., která poskytuje lázeňskou péči v Karlových Varech
