Is the position of students in classroom correlated with their academic performance?

Is the position of students in classroom correlated with their academic performance? This study confirms existence of such relationship. Subjects of the research are students of Industrial Organizations, a subject taught in the bachelor program of Faculty of Economics at University of Economics, Prague. Regression analysis shows that seating preferences of students are correlated with their academic performance. Better students prefer to sit closer to the front of the classroom.Existuje vztah mezi preferovanou pozicí v posluchárně a celkovým počtem získaných bodů? Výzkum mezi studenty předmětu Organizace trhů a odvětví v bakalářském programu Národohospodářské fakulty VŠE existenci tohoto vztahu potvrzuje. Pomocí regresní analýzy docházím k závěru, že preference míst na přednášce u studentů jsou spojeny s jejich akademickými výsledky. Studenti s lepšími výsledky preferují místa blíže k tabuli
