PPP Projects in the Czech republic and the United Kingdom and Their Comparison

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Public-Private-Partnerships (PPP), which is a partnership of public and private sector, and its comparison in the Czech republic and the United Kingdom. The aim of this study is to describe common practice of PPP projects in the Czech republic and in the United Kingdom and by comparison of both czech and british environments and selected aspects determine why is implementation of PPP projects more successful in the United Kingdom than in the Czech republic. First of all, the thesis focuses on the very definition of PPP projects, their principles, types, and advantages and disadvantages. Selected aspects of both countries, such as corruption, transparency, legal and institutional frameworks, are compared in the second part. In the third part, these aspects are demonstrated on examples which showcase common practice in both countries.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem Public-Private-Partnership (PPP), což v překladu do češtiny znamená partnerství veřejného a soukromého sektoru, a jeho porovnáním v České republice a ve Velké Británii. Cílem této práce je přiblížit praxi PPP projektů v České republice a ve Velké Británii a pomocí porovnání prostředí k jejich realizaci v obou zmíněných zemí a vybraných faktorů určit, proč je realizace PPP projektů ve Velké Británii úspěšnější než v České republice. V úvodní kapitole práce je rozebrána samotná definice PPP, její principy, druhy a výhody a nevýhody. Ve druhé kapitole jsou porovnávány vybrané faktory obou zemí, které implementaci PPP projektů ovlivňují, a to konkrétně korupce, transparentnost, institucionální a právní rámec a stav veřejných financi. Ve třetí kapitole jsou pak některé tyto faktory demonstrovány na názorných příkladech, které reflektují současnou praxi v obou zemích
