Analysis of religious tourism in Italy, focusing particularly on Assisi

This thesis analyzes the current religious tourism in Italy. It charts the world and the Italian pilgrimage sites and their religious significance. It describes tourism in Italy with a focus on cultural tourism, UNESCO, financing cultural tourism and Italian bureaucracy. The first part describes the different forms of tourism in Italy, methods of promotion of tourism and the benefit of UNESCO. The following chapter is about the phenomenon of pilgrimage, especially its history and different types of motivation. The third chapter describes the care of monuments in Italy. The last part examines tourism in a significant pilgrimage Italian city of Assisi, focusing on some of the economic indicators.Diplomová práce analyzuje současný náboženský cestovní ruch v Itálii. Mapuje významná světová i italská poutní místa a jejich náboženský význam. Popisuje cestovní ruch Itálie se zaměřením na kulturní cestovní ruch, památky UNESCO, financování kulturního cestovního ruchu i složitou a neefektivní italskou byrokracii. První část práce charakterizuje různé formy cestovního ruchu Itálie, metody propagace turismu a přínos UNESCA. Následující kapitola popisuje fenomén poutnictví, zejména historii a různé druhy motivace. Třetí kapitola popisuje památkovou péči v Itálii. V poslední části práce je analyzován cestovní ruch ve významném poutním italském městě Assisi, se zaměřením na některé ekonomické ukazatele
