Competitiveness of the EU from the viewpoint of the member states

This thesis focuses on the contribution of the member states to competitiveness and the contribution of the Lisbon strategy and the Europe 2020 strategy to this topic. The first chapter deals with the definition of competitiveness and with detailed measurement according to the World Economic Forum. In the second chapter, individual member countries in terms of competitiveness and the impact of the Lisbon strategy on the competitiveness of the EU are discussed. The last chapter outlines the concept of the Europe 2020 strategy and the current fulfillment of its goals.Bakalářská práce se zabývá příspěvkem jednotlivých členských zemí ke konkurenceschopnosti a přínosem Lisabonské strategie a Evropy 2020 k tomuto tématu. První kapitola se věnuje vymezení pojmu konkurenceschopnost a podrobnějšímu měření dle Světového ekonomického fóra. Ve druhé kapitole jsou rozebrány jednotlivé země EU z pohledu konkurenceschopnosti, a jaký dopad měla na konkurenceschopnost EU Lisabonská strategie. V poslední kapitole je nastíněn koncept strategie Evropa 2020 a dosavadní plnění jejích jednotlivých cílů
