Novikov VE. Psychopharmacol Biol Narcol; 2007; 7(2): 1500–1509. The possibilities of pharmacological neuroprotection in dynamics of traumatic brain injury have been suggested on the base of literature analysis and of own experimental findings received. The main groups of medicines offered for neuroprotection by means of either a decrease in neural metabolic activity or an increase in resistance of neurons to energy deficiency by metabolism correction in the brain have been discussed.
