The financial and economic crisis and its impact on a particular company

The aim of this thesis is to describe causes and consequences of a financial and economic crisis and analyse its impact on a particular company. Firstly, the thesis focuses on the definition of the financial crisis and its theoretical classification. The following chapter is devoted to analyzing origins and development of the financial crisis in the USA. In addition, this chapter describes the bank situation as well as the transmission of the crisis into the real economy. The second part concerns itself with the glassworks in Sázava and its formation and history as well as the description of assortment, the competition, important customers and the SWOT analysis. Finally, the last part analyses the impact of the crisis on particular sections of the company.Cílem této práce je popsat příčiny, průběh a důsledky finanční a ekonomické krize a také zhodnotit vliv krize na fungování konkrétního podniku. V první části práce se věnuji teoretickému vymezení pojmu finanční krize a jejímu dělení. Poté následuje charakteristika jednotlivých příčin vzniku a průběhu finanční krize v USA. Dále je vysvětlena situace na bankovním trhu a také to, jak se finanční krize přenesla do reálné ekonomiky. Druhá část práce je věnována sázavskému podniku a obsahuje popis vzniku a vývoje sázavské firmy, charakteristiku sortimentu a tržního prostředí, hlavní zákazníky a SWOT analýzu. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na analyzování dopadů krize na konkrétní oblasti v podniku
