Analysis of foreign trade of the European Union and Russia in the period from 2000 to 2010

This bachelor thesis aims to analyze the foreign trade of the European Union and Russia in the period from 2000 to 2010. The first part deals with the general characteristics of the European Union and Russia, in terms of the main macroeconomic indicators such as GDP, inflation and unemployment. The second chapter is focused on the basic features of trade relations between these two units and identifies the most important agreements that underpin these relations. The third section analyzes the EU's trade with Russia, in terms of territorial and commodity structure. At the end of the thesis there is a summary of the mutual business cooperation between the EU and Russia, and outline of the development of mutual trade relations between these two units in the future.Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl zanalyzovat zahraniční obchod Evropské unie s Ruskem v letech 2000 -- 2010. První část práce se věnuje obecným charakteristikám Evropské unie a Ruska, a to z hlediska hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů, jakými jsou HDP, míra inflace a nezaměstnanosti. Druhá kapitola se zabývá základními rysy obchodních vztahů mezi oběma celky a uvádí nejdůležitější smlouvy, které jsou základem těchto vztahů. Třetí část analyzuje obchod EU s Ruskem z hlediska teritoriálního a komoditního. V závěru je obsažen souhrn vzájemné obchodní spolupráce mezi EU a Ruskem a nastíněn vývoj vzájemných obchodních vztahů obou celků v budoucnu
