Specifics of doing business and trade in Virginia

This thesis analyses the business environment in Virginia and subsequently defines its specific features which make it more attractive in comparison to other U.S. states. The thesis is based on PEST analysis, which focuses on four areas - analysis of the political and legal environment, economical environment, social-cultural environment and technological environment. The particular objective is to examine the mutual balance of business relations between the Czech Republic and Virginia, but also to find a Czech company currently doing business in this area. Based on a questionary carried out with this company, the thesis provides a personal experience with the local environment.Tato práce analyzuje podnikatelské prostředí státu Virginie a následně vymezuje jeho specifické rysy, které ho dělají atraktivnějším ve srovnání s ostatními státy USA. Práce je založena na analýze PEST, která se zaměřuje na čtyři oblasti -- analýzu politického a právního prostředí, analýzu ekonomického prostředí, analýzu sociálně-kulturního prostředí a analýzu technologického prostředí. Dílčím cílem práce je prozkoumat vzájemnou bilanci obchodních vztahů mezi Českou republikou a Virginií, ale také najít české firmy podnikající právě v této lokalitě. Na základě zodpovězeného dotazníku práce uvádí také osobní zkušenosti české firmy podnikající v místním prostředí
