Analysis of regional competitiveness in the Czech Republic

The bachelor's diploma focuses on the issue of regional competitiveness. The principal aim of this work is to evaluate the competitiveness of regions in the Czech Republic. The diploma work is organised into three chapters, which joinly form two main parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The first two chapters make up the theoretical part and explain basic terms such as the region, regional development, regional competitiveness, together with indicators for their measurement and factors that influence them. In the practical part an index of competitiveness is created out of 37 indicators that influence competitiveness. It is possible to observe the competitiveness of individual regions and also their ranking within the Czech Republic.Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku regionální konkurenceschopnosti. Jejím hlavním cílem je zhodnotit konkurenceschopnost krajů v rámci České republiky. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol, které společně tvoří dvě základní časti, a to teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část, kterou tvoří první dvě kapitoly, je věnována vysvětlení základní terminologie vztahující se k dané problematice. Vysvětleny jsou zejména pojmy region, regionální rozvoj a regionální konkurenceschopnost, spolu s indikátory pro jejich měření a faktory, které je ovlivňují. V praktické části práce je pak sestaven index konkurenceschopnosti na základě 37 ukazatelů, které konkurenceschopnost ovlivňují. Na tomto indexu je ve výsledku moţné pozorovat konkurenceschopnost jednotlivých krajů a jejich postavení v rámci České republiky
