Valuation and investing in coins

This thesis is dedicated to the valuation and investing in coins. The main aim is an explanation and determination of main factors influencing prices of coins. The first part deals with a comprehensive presentation of numismatics as an object of collecting, investing and explain its relationship with modern banking. The second section defines the four main factors influencing the value of coins. It defines their importance, the specific effect on the price and attempts to quantify their exact values. This chapter also mentions three authorized methods of valuation according to a Czech law. The third part is an analysis of three favourite gold investment coins, based on market values for the past five years. The result of the last chapter is the subsequent comparison and evaluation of measured values on which it is made a practical valuation.Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje charakteristice oceňování a investování do mincí. Hlavním cílem práce je vysvětlení a určení cenotvorných faktorů na tvorbu ceny mince. První část práce se zaobírá komplexním představením numismatiky jako předmětu sběratelství, investování a vysvětlení jejího vztahu s moderním bankovnictvím. Druhá část definuje čtyři hlavní cenotvorné faktory. Definuje jejich důležitost, konkrétní vliv na cenu, pokouší se kvantifikovat jejich přesné hodnoty. Na základě zákonu o oceňování tato kapitola také zmiňuje tři povolené metody ocenění. Ve třetí části je analýza tří oblíbených zlatých investičních mincí na základě zjištěných tržních hodnot za uplynulé období pěti let. Výsledkem poslední kapitoly je následná komparace a vyhodnocení zjištěných hodnot, na kterých je provedeno praktické použití
