Consumer protection and e-commerce

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to provide an overview of the rights of a Czech consumer emerging from business relations between a consumer and a seller. Initially there is a closer identification of a consumer according to the Czech low. Second part of this thesis concentrates on Czech organizations protecting consumers and e-commerce certifications. The third charter focuses on the consumers disputes. There are a lot of possibilities how to solve the disputes, some of them are outlined in this part, for example the alternative disputes resolutions and on-line dispute resolutions. Another objective would be the e-commerce and an evaluation of its positives, negatives and especially possibilities, which it offers. As a practical example there are mentioned the coupon portals which are very popular in Czech republic these days. An interview with a representative of one of the Czech coupon portals was used as a source of relevant information about their running a business. Finally, there is an analysis of two famous Czech coupon portals and their attitude to Czech customers.Cílem této práce je zaměření se na českého spotřebitele a získání uceleného přehledu práv a oprávnění, která mu při obchodních vztazích společně s prodávajícím vznikají. Pro získání uceleného přehledu se jedná o jasné definování spotřebitele a přiblížení si zákona o ochraně spotřebitele společně s občanským zákoníkem, čemuž se věnuje první a druhá kapitola. Součástí tohoto cíle je také zmapování největších spotřebitelských organizací a jejich činností, zároveň přiblížení internetových certifikací a určení jejich bližšího významu. Třetí kapitola se zabývá variantami řešení spotřebitelských sporů, jejichž možnosti se neustále rozšiřují. Mezi další cíle této práce patří specifikování fenoménu obchodování na internetu a problematiky, jež se s tímto trendem v dnešní době pojí. Jako vhodný příklad jsem zvolila slevové portály, které prvně před dvěma lety zaplavily český trh se svými zvýhodněnými nabídkami. Pro získání kvalitních informací jsem uskutečnila strukturovaný rozhovor se zástupcem jednoho z českých slevových portálů. Závěrem práce je srovnávací analýza dvou českých slevových portálů a především jejich chování k českým spotřebitelům
