Joint venture as a form of entry into the Chinese market

Nowadays the Chinese market is very attractive for the businessmen, and that's why I have decided to study one of the forms of the entry into this market, which is the foundation of the joint venture with a Chinese partner. It is the second most important form of the entry after WFOE (wholly foreign owned enterprise) and it is the only way of entry into so-called strategic sectors, such as, for instance, car industry, chemical industry, energetics, insurance, securities, telecommunication and others. I have chosen Shanghai Wolkswagen which exists in China for more than 25 years as an example of a joint venture. It is a constantly developing and expanding enterprise, which manufactures products not just for Volkswagen brand but also for its subsidiary ŠKODA. The reasons of this joint venture's success became the object of my interest.V současné době Čínský trh představuje velký zájem pro podnikatele, a proto ve své práci jsem se rozhodl zabývat jednou z forem vstupu na tento trh, kterou je založení společného podniku s čínským partnerem. Je to druhá nejvýznamnější forma vstupu po WFOE (podnik ovládaný cizím kapitálem na 100%) a je jedinou cestou pro vstup do tzv. strategických odvětví jakými jsou například automobilový průmysl, chemikálie, energie, pojištění, cenné papíry, telekomunikace a další. Jako přiklad úspěšného společného podnikání jsem si zvolil Shanghai Volkswagen, který působí v Číně již 25 let. Je to neustále rozvijící a rozšiřující podnik, který vyrábí produkce nejen značky Volkswagen, ale i pro jeho dceřinou společnost ŠKODA. Předmětem mého zájmu byly příčiny, které vedly k úspěchu tohoto společného podnikání
