National and cultural habits of Egypt and its influence on business negotiation

The goal of this thesis is to analyze the environment of Egypt, to characterize the national and cultural habits and describe the business negotiation with a Czech company. Thesis is divided into several parts. First part characterizes stages of a business meeting, then generally discusses the Arab Republic of Egypt, its basic characteristics, rich culture, history and other attractions. Next section is about Islam and its influence on society. In addition to economic data, foreign trade and commercial relations with Czech Republic, is in the following section made SWOT analysis of the Egyptian environment. Cooperation of Egypt and a Czech company, important cultural specifics of business negotiations and its stages are analyzed in the last part of the thesis. Research was carried out in the company Škoda Auto in Mladá Boleslav on the basis of expert interviews with the employees of export department. Results were crucial for a conclusion of the impact of national and cultural specifics of Egypt on business negotiation between Czech companies and Egypt.Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat prostředí Egypta, charakterizovat národní a kulturní zvyklosti a popsat obchodní jednání s českou firmou. Práce je rozdělena do několika částí. První část práce charakterizuje fáze obchodního jednání, dále celkově pojednává o Egyptské arabské republice, o základních charakteristikách, bohaté kultuře, historii a dalších zajímavostech. Další část se zabývá islámem a jeho vlivem na společnost. Kromě ekonomických údajů, zahraničního obchodu a obchodních vztahů s Českou republikou, je v následující části provedena SWOT analýza egyptského prostředí. Spolupráce Egypta s českou firmou, důležitá kulturní specifika obchodního jednání a jeho průběh analyzuje poslední část. Výzkum byl proveden ve firmě Škoda auto a.s. v Mladé Boleslavi, na základě expertního rozhovoru se zaměstnanci exportního oddělení do Egypta. Výsledky byly stěžejní pro vyvození závěru vlivu národních a kulturních specifik Egypta na obchodní spolupráci české firmy, konkrétně Škoda auto, s Egyptem
