Legislative aspects of equal opportunities for women and men on the labor market

With regard to the women's position on the labor market the aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine if the labor market regulation is efficient or not. The work compares opposing approaches of neoclassical law and economics and institutional law and economics to this matter including concrete proceedings in favour of equal opportunity of women and men. Concerning the persistence of unequal treatment of women and men on the labor market the work judges the notion that free markets act against discrimination. Another objective is to compare and decompose antidiscrimination law relevant to labor markets in EU and Czech Republic.V souvislosti s postavením žen na pracovním trhu se bakalářská práce zaměřuje na posouzení účelnosti regulace trhu práce. Práce porovnává odlišný přístup neoklasické analýzy práva a institucionální analýzy práva k legislativě upravující trh práce včetně konkrétních opatření pro vyrovnání příležitostí mužů a žen. S ohledem na přetrvávající nerovné postavení mužů a žen na pracovním trhu hodnotí práce účinnost tržních sil v potlačování diskriminace. Dalším cílem je komparace a analýza vývoje antidiskriminačního zákonodárství v rámcitrhu práce v EU a ČR
