Economic relations between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom

This bachelor thesis is focused on classification of reciprocal economic relations between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. The aim of this thesis is to uncover, what are the relations like and what is their significance in the context of the foreign trade of both respective countries. In this case, trade in goods and services as well as mutual flows of foreign direct investments have been the subjects of investigation. Apparently, the reciprocal relations, despite not acquiring a major share in overall foreign economic activities of these countries, play an important role in economic happening. Currently, trade in goods is the one, which is achieving the biggest success. Also British foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic are reaching relatively high values (at least compared to Czech investments in the United Kingdom), however, the mutual trade in services is the one, which could have a substantive perspective into the future.Práce se zabývá hodnocením vzájemných hospodářských vazeb mezi Českou republikou a Spojeným královstvím. Cílem této práce je zjistit, o jaké vazby se jedná a jaký je jejich význam v kontextu zahraničního obchodu obou příslušných zemí. V tomto případě se subjektem zkoumání stal obchod zbožím a službami, stejně tak jako vzájemné toky přímých zahraničních investic. Je zřejmé, že vzájemné vazby, přestože nedosahují závratného podílu na celkových zahraničních ekonomických aktivitách těchto zemí, jsou důležitou součástí ekonomického dění. V současnosti se prosazuje nejvíce právě obchod zbožím. Rovněž britské investice v České republice dosahují poměrně vysokých hodnot (minimálně v porovnání s českými investicemi ve Spojeném království), avšak vzájemný obchod službami je ten, jež by mohl mít do budoucna velkou perspektivu
