The present state and perspectives of motor \u2013 powered vehicle taxation in the EU

This Bachelor's thesis deals with taxation mechanism of motor -- powered vehicles in the EU. In the first part, I focus on taxation procedures and techniques which were applied within the EU in the past. In the next part I introduce actual situation about motor -- powered vehicles taxation in particular EU member states. Problems with an assessment of a road tax are mentioned as well. The following part of the thesis deals with controversy linked to CO2 taxation. In the last part I try to outline possible future ways of motor -- powered vehicles taxation.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mechanismem zdaňování motorových vozidel v EU. Nejprve jsou vymezeny zdaňovací postupy a techniky, kterými se EU zabývala v minulosti. V další části je představena aktuální situace ohledně zdaňování motorových vozidel v jednotlivých členských státech EU. Také je zde pojednáno o problematice daňového určení silniční daně. V poslední části jsou zmíněny některé sporné body spojené se zdaňováním podle emisí CO2. V samotném závěru práce jsem se zamýšlel nad možnými budoucími směry vývoje, kterými se bude zdaňování motorových vozidel pravděpodobně ubírat
