Comparison of the educational systems in the Czech Republic and Australia

I have chosen the topic of my bachelor thesis "Comparison of the educational systems in the Czech Republic and Australia" because of the constantly discussed issue of school fees at universities. The focus of my bachelor thesis is on Australia, where the system of the school fees at university education works, and the Czech Republic, where the possibility of the school fees is being only discussed. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to compare these two educational systems, especially their tertiary educational stages. The thesis deals with the advantages and disadvantages of these systems and their pros and cons on the basis of the SWOT analysis. The theoretical part of my thesis offers the characteristics of the educational systems both in the Czech Republic and Australia. The thesis analyses in detail the tertiary education in both countries and it also outlines the reform of the tertiary education in the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with the question why there should be the reform of tertiary education in the Czech Republic. The analytical part of the thesis compares both educational systems by means of parametres such as institutional frames, funding of educational systems, structure of educational systems, and the assertion of university graduates at the job market. One chapter focuses on the school fees in Australia and there are inspiring suggestions for potentional implementation of the school fees at Czech state colleges and universities. The end of the thesis asks the question whether it is possible to apply at least partially positive aspects of the tertiary education of Australie to the Czech Republic.Bakalářskou práci na téma komparace vzdělávacího systému České republiky a Austrálie jsem si vybrala na základě stále diskutovaného školného na vysokých školách. Ve své práci se zaměřím na Austrálii, kde školné v terciárním vzdělávání již funguje a Českou republiku, kde se o této možnosti pouze jedná. Za hlavní cíl mé bakalářské práce jsem si stanovila porovnání těchto dvou vzdělávacích systémů zejména jejich terciární část. Posoudím jejich silné, slabé stránky, příležitosti i hrozby pomocí SWOT analýzy. V teoretické části uvedu charakteristiku vzdělávacího systému v České republice a Austrálii. Hlouběji se budu věnovat terciárnímu vzdělávání v obou zemích a nastíním reformu terciárního vzdělávání v České republice. Budu se zabývat otázkou, proč by měla být v České republice reforma? V analytické části porovnám terciární vzdělávání obou zemí prostřednictvím parametrů jako je institucionální rámec, financování vzdělanostního systému, struktura vzdělanostního systému, uplatnění vysokoškolsky vzdělaného člověka na trhu práce. Jednu zvláštní kapitolu budu věnovat školnému Austrálie a na základě SWOT analýzy bych formulovala inspirativní náměty pro potenciální zavedení školného i na českých státních vysokých školách. Na závěr bych se zamyslela, zda je možné aplikovat alespoň částečně pozitivní prvky terciárního vzdělávacího systému Austrálie na Českou republiku
