Perspectives of transatlantic free trade area

The thesis focuses on possible formation of transatlatnic free trade area. We summarize the relations between EU and the USA and key documents that underlie existing transatlantic relations. The thesis describes present economic relations between EU and the USA relating to volumes of mutual trade in goods and services and in investments flows. The thesis suggests that EU and the USA would benefit by strenghtening their cooperation and the both sides should be interested in formation of transatlatnic free trade area in the future.Práce se zabývá možnostmi vzniku transatlantické zóny volného obchodu. Shrnuje dosavadní vzahy EU a USA a klíčové dokumenty, které tvoří základ současných transatlantických vztahů. Popisuje současné ekonomické vztahy mezi EU a USA, týkající se objemu vzájemného obchodu se zožím a službami a toku investic. Práce ukazuje, že posílení vzájemné spolupráce mezi EU a USA by bylo přínosné pro oba regiony a obě strany by měly do budoucna projevit větší zájem o vytvoření transatlantické zóny volnoho obchodu
