Services categorization from business and IT perspective

With rapid technological progress, the services' share of national GDP is still increasing. The question is, whether the services are properly and sufficiently supported by available information technology instruments. This thesis will be a contribution to the development in the new academic branch called Service Science, Management and Engineering which is concerned with studying of services and it will become a part of this branch. The sence of service categorization is in transparent and organized determination. Some service categorizations in general or in the field of information technology have been made in the past but I will try to add some new perspectives or, where appropriate, to add comments to existing categorizations.S rychlejším technologickým pokrokem mají služby stále větší podíl na tvorbě HDP států. Otázkou je, zda jsou služby správně a dostatečně podporovány dostupnými prostředky informačních technologií. Práce bude příspěvkem k rozvoji nově vznikajícího akademického oboru Service Science, Management and Engineering zabývajícího se právě studiem služeb a stane se jeho součástí. Smysl kategorizace služeb je v určení jejich přehledné organizace pro další využití. Určité kategorizace služeb obecně nebo přímo v oboru informačních technologií byly již v průběhu let vytvořeny, ovšem budu se snažit přidat nové dělení nebo případně přidat své postřehy k vybraným stávajícím kategorizacím
