Consumer protection in tourism

The subject of this thesis is the consumer protection in the tourist industry in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the consumer protection in the Czech Republic in general. There is determined the term "consumer" and stated the list of legal enactments related to this issue. The second part is concerned with some duties of tourism service providers from the view of public law. The third and fundamental part of this thesis deals with contract law in tourism. There are examined the most usual contract types in this area, especially package travel contract. In the last part I mention consumer law enforcement in the Czech Republic. This part is aimed at the Alternative Dispute Resolution Project.Tato práce se zabývá problematikou ochrany spotřebitele v oblasti cestovního ruchu v České republice. Práce je rozčleněna do čtyř částí. První část pojednává obecně o ochraně spotřebitele v České republice, je zde vymezen pojem "spotřebitel" a uveden přehled právních předpisů vztahujících se k této oblasti. Druhá část se věnuje některým povinnostem poskytovatelů služeb cestovního ruchu z pohledu veřejného práva. Třetí a stěžejní část této práce se zabývá smluvním právem v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Jsou zde rozebrány nejobvyklejší smluvní typy v této oblasti, největší prostor je věnován cestovní smlouvě. V poslední části se zmiňuji o vymahatelnosti práv spotřebitele v České republice. Zaměřuji se zde na projekt mimosoudního řešení spotřebitelských sporů
