Eficácia do herbicida flazasulfuron no controle de plantas daninhas em cana-de-açúcar e seus efeitos no crescimento e produtividade da cultura

The objective this study was to evaluate the tolerance of the sugar-cane to the flazasulfuron and the herbicide efficiency on the Cyperus rotundus control. The experiment was carried on a sandy soil texture, at the Usina Destivale, at Araçatuba, SP. The used variety was RB 72-454. A randomized block design was used, with 12 treatments and 4 repetitions. The herbicides were applied in post-emergency of the crop and weeds, at 20 and 45 days after the plantation. The seletivity to the herbicides was evaluated to the sugar-cane and the efficiency in the control of the weeds by visual evaluations and number of tubers. It was also evaluated the effect of the treatments on the crop growth and yield. It was concluded that the flazasulfuron, at 100, 125, 150, 37.5+37.5, 50+50, 62.5+62.5 and 75+75 g/ha, was selective to the crop of the sugar-cane and efficient in controling of C. rotundus, providing average reduction of 80% in the number of viable tubers of purple nutsedge. The yield of the sugar-cane was of 81.2 t/ha against 55.6 t/ha of the control without weeding. At 50 and 75 g/ha, the herbicide was not very efficient. The herbicide 2,4-D was not very efficient in the control of the purple nutsedge and MSMA was efficient until 45 days after the first application, with 85% of control.O objetivo foi avaliar a tolerância da cana-de-açúcar (variedade RB 72-454) ao herbicida flazasulfuron e sua eficiência no controle de Cyperus rotundus. O experimento foi desenvolvido em um Latossolo Vermelho-Escuro, com textura arenosa, na Usina Destivale, em Araçatuba, SP. A. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com 12 tratamentos e 4 repetições. Os herbicidas foram aplicados em pós-emergência da cultura e plantas daninhas, aos 20 e 45 dias após o plantio. Estudou-se a seletividade dos herbicidas à cana-de-açúcar e a eficiência no controle das plantas daninhas, através de avaliações visuais e contagem do número de tubérculos de tiririca. Avaliou-se também, o efeito dos tratamentos no crescimento e produtividade da cultura. Concluiu-se que o herbicida flazasulfuron, nas doses de 100; 125; 150; 37,5+37,5; 50+50; 62,5+62,5 e 75+75 g/ha, foi seletivo à cultura da cana-de-açúcar e eficiente no controle de C. rotundus, proporcionando redução média de 80% no número de tubérculos viáveis. A produtividade média da cana-de-açúcar foi de 81,2 t/ha contra 55,6 t/ha da testemunha no mato. Nas doses de 50 e 75 g/ha, o herbicida foi pouco eficiente. O herbicida 2,4-D foi pouco eficiente no controle da tiririca e o MSMA foi eficiente até os 45 DAPA, com 85% de controle
