PERANAN KOMPUTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN STASION BUMI SATELIT CUACA LAPAN

ABSTRACT With the support of operating systems and complete software computer can be used as central controller of the operation of weather satellite ground station, the ground station of the polar orbit satellite (NOAA) as well as GMS. Computer can also analyze the weather data received from weather satlelite in accordance with the desired programs. By using computer, the analysis of weather data such as cloud cover analysis, surface temperature analysis, etc. can be carried out far more quickly as well as accurately in comparison with the manual analysis. This enchances the efficiency of the analysis and interpretation of the weather satellite ground station of LAPAN. RING KASAN Dengan dituniang oleh operating system dan software yang lengkap, komputer dapat dipergunakan sebagai pusat pengendali operasi stasion bumi satelit cuaca, balk stasion bumi satelit orbit polar (NOAA) maupun GMS. Komputer juga dapat melakukan analisa terhadap data cuaca yang diterima dari satelit cuaca, sesual -dengan program yang diinginkan. Dengan menggunakan komputer, analisa data cuaca seperti analisa liputan awan, analisa temperatur permukaan dan lain-lain, dapat dilakukan fauh lebih cepat dan teliti dibandingkan dengan analisa secara manual. Hal ini berarti meningkatkan pendayagunaan data satelit cuaca dari stasion bumi satelit cuaca LAPAN.Hlm. 2-15:Il.;30 c
