Abstract This paper will be describing the effects of operating altitude of aerospike nozzle to its performance using Computational Fluid Dynamics. The aerospike nozzle is designed using isentropic flow properties -such as mach number, cross-sectional area, pressure and temperature relations- as long as the flow can be idealized. If shock occurs during the flow, oblique and expansion wave relation properties will be used in order to determine the condition in the location that needs to find. The operating altitudes those will be chosen to analyze the performance of the aerospike nozzle are at sea level, at 5 km, at 10 km, and at 15 km above sea level. Each condition will affect the coefficient of thrust that have been produced by the design...
