Analisis Perbandingan Karakteristik Curah Hujan Di Bagian Utara Dan Selatan Pulau Jawa

Rainfall is one element of climate is essential for life on earth. This research was conducted to understand the characteristics of rainfall in the northern and southern part of the Java Island. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis bycomparing the monthly average rainfall between the north and south. The data used was the monthly average rainfall of the years 1973-2003 from the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency. The research sites include Jakarta, Karawang, Semarang, Ciamis, Cilacap and Banyuwangi. Based on the analysis results obtained in the month of January to February the rainfall in the northern part was higher than that the south. In March-November the amount of rainfall in the southern part was generally higher than that in the north except Banyuwangi lowerHal. 169-17
