This research was aimed to find out the influence of scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning to improve mental model in the learning of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic. This research used pretest-posttest control group design with cluster random sampling technique. The population of this research was all of tenth grader science students of SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung, and it was obtained that X IPA 2 as experimental class and X IPA 5 as control class. The treatment on experimental class is scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning and control class is SiMaYang learning without scaffolding strategy.
