[Abstract]This study aims to examine responsibility in the global era. Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among people, companies, organizations, and governments. Advances in transportation and communication technology drive this process. Anthony Giddens describes globalization as“ the intensification of worldwide social relations which link distant localities in such a way that local happenings are shaped by events occurring many miles away and vice versa.” This change in worldwide social relations involves an alteration of responsibility. In this paper, I introduce the political theorist Iris Marion Young's arguments on“ responsibility and global justice.” She theorizes a concept of responsibility in the global era....
