[Abstract] The exact solutions to the Davey-Stewartson I equation are analyzed to study the interactionsbetween two y-periodic solitons. There are two types of singular interactions; one isthe resonant interaction that generates one periodic soliton after collision and the other is thelong-range interaction where two solitons interchange each other infinitely apart
