〈Survey〉Annotated checklist of the fish caught by an off-shore trawl fishery in the Kumanonada Sea, Mie Prefecture, Japan

[Synopsis] Fish which have been caught by an off-shore single trawl fishery at a depth ranging from 150m to 400m, between Owasecity and Kii-Nagashima-city, Kumanonada Sea, Mie Prefecture, since 1974, were examined. As a result, a total of 244 species in 27 orders with 93 families were recorded. New species and biogeographically important species were included within the collected specimens in this research. The unidentified species of fish that were caught during this research, having different characteristics of pictorial keys common to the species such as intraspecific variation, suggested that this was the first record of their existence, or that they are an unnamed species. Almost all fish of the order of Anguilliformes were transferred to the Osaka Museum of Natural History, which possess a researcher on this group
