[Author abstract]Growth responses between salt tolerance yeasts and solution of NaCl,KCl,LiCl,CaCl_2,MgCl_2, MnCl_2 and levulose were examined. In the case of the halotolerant type yeasts, this growth responses in medium of high concentration of salts and levulose were much higher than these of halophilic or low halophilic ones. The ability to grow at various concentration of lithium chloride was tested. No growth occurred at 0.4 percent with any of the strains, unless a few amount of lithium chloride was added to the medium. Almost all halophilic, low-halophilic and some of halotolerant strains grown in a medium supplemented with a high concentration of salts and levulose showed small cell size than normal ones.[要約]食塩耐性機構を検討する目的で耐性株のNaの細胞内...
