This article analyzes the politicization in a workspace within the state, considering the experience of workers of the Neuquén Provincial Hospital Dr. Castro Rendón (HN) between 2005 and 2013. Specifi cally, we analyze the ideas and meanings concerning what public employment means as well as narratives about statehood. Based on a predominately qualitative methodological strategy, we analyze different practices and processes that take place within the State as a working space.
